Since 2022, WNL has been working together with VDF Greenhouses on Project Waibel in Austria: an extensive renovation and expansion of a modern garden centre. As part of this project, WNL supplies a wide range of solutions, including WNL Easyjoint™ roof panels, façade systems and all related finishing and installation materials.

The project includes the construction of a 3,600 m² Cabrio greenhouse, a 1,700 m² greenhouse with sandwich deck system, various fire compartments and a fire lobby, a new boiler house and new shading installations in multiple departments. In addition WNL Easyjoint™ roof panels have been installed in previous project phases. The construction of a new entrance will start soon, giving the garden centre a fresh and welcoming appearance.

Fire safety as an essential element

For the latest project phase, WNL supplied no less than 2,000 m² of Trimo mineral wool panels in thicknesses of 60, 100 and 120 mm, including all required flashings, fixings and installation materials.

The mineral wool panels are used as fire-resistant separating structures between different areas of the garden centre. They help limit the spread of fire and smoke and contribute to a safe and well-organised building layout.

Depending on the application, the panels meet the required EI30 and EI90 fire resistance classifications. This ensures compliance with local building regulations and provides an important contribution to the safety, continuity and long-term performance of the garden centre.

We are proud of our long-term partnership with VDF Greenhouses and our contribution to this impressive project. We look forward to the next phases of Project Waibel.
